How LockerCube works
You select a folder. LockerCube creates an encrypted copy of it, your data cube.
The original folder remains on your computer. Only the data cube is processed and stored.
Decryption is only possible with your password and LockerCube. Security depends directly on the strength of your password – a sufficiently long and complex password complies with current security standards and makes your data cube virtually unbreakable.
Don't forget your password. Without your password, the cube is lost.
Uploads can be resumed. Incomplete uploads are automatically deleted after 72 hours of inactivity or after 14 days at the latest. After that, you can start again.

During an upload, we store temporary fragments of your encrypted data cube so that you can continue. These fragments are automatically deleted after 72 hours of inactivity or after 14 days at the latest.

How secure is LockerCube?
LockerCube encrypts your files entirely on your device before anything is uploaded. We rely on well-established modern cryptography (e.g., AES-256-GCM). Your password is turned locally into a key using proven derivation (Argon2id or PBKDF2 with salt and high iterations).

Note: Overall security also depends on a long, unique password and a clean device.
Can I reset my password?
No. LockerCube does not store your password and cannot recover it. This protects your data, but it also means no access without your password.
How do renewals work?
We’ll email you 28 and 7 days before expiry. Use the link to renew for another year with one click.
How long can I resume an interrupted upload?
You can resume the upload as long as it has not been inactive for too long. We delete incomplete uploads after 72 hours of inactivity or after 14 days at the latest. After that, you will have to start over.
Parts that have already been transferred are only available in encrypted form.
What data does LockerCube store about me?
As little as possible: your email address (for reminders/receipts), the size of the encrypted data cube, a random identifier, and the expiry date. We do not know your password or file contents.
Technical server logs are kept minimal and rotated regularly. No ad trackers.
Where is my data stored?
In data centres located in Germany (GDPR-compliant, e.g., ISO 27001). Data in transit uses TLS; at rest we store encrypted ciphertext only.
